I know three men that have all served in the military during the last 10 years. Today is an opportunity to thank those men but to also remember those that have been lost.
In talking with a couple of them I have caught bits and pieces of what they witnessed and experienced. From what I can piece together they are things that I would never want to experience myself.
They have lost friends and fellow soldiers. They have experienced loss and devastation. They have been places and seen things that have changed them for the rest of their lives.
Today remember to pray for them and thank them. Many current soldiers and those that are now out of active duty are caring burdens that only other soldiers can really understand.
Today let us cover them with prayer. Though I’m sure everyday is hard I imagine this day is worse.
